The overall aim of this proposal is to utilize innovative surface chemistry in combination with a range of highly versatile materials deposition processes currently under development at Tyndall, so as to demonstrate the commercially viable manufacturability of materials that possess well-defined structure on both the micro and nano scale.

If successful, the result will be a range of thin film materials and devices that possess highly desirable properties such as improved transparency, conductivity, photocatalytic activity, electrochromism, light trapping and the ability to control light propagation.

EpiValence is supporting the precursor related activities of this project to develop chemical approaches suited to specific deposition processes.  In particular the identification of enhanced compounds matched to ALD/CVD and roll-to-roll deposition systems will be performed to enable these key technologies to be progressed.
